COME AND FOLLOW SKI TRACKS THROUGH THE LANDSCAPES OF OTEPÄÄ
The exhibition has been designed as if it were the landscapes of Otepää, through which the visitor will hike and acquire new knowledge. The different levels in rooms have been smoothly interconnected; former stairs have been replaced by rampways. The corridor and the hall have been turned into one continuous exhibition space.
An important role in creating the general impression of this space is played by the graphics drawn by Katri Haarde. The ski tracks on the light floor have been inspired by Otepää as a winter sports region. The walls are covered with graphic elements inspired by nature. The images of trees, animals and birds are exhibited as silhouettes as well as photos. Some of the images have been moved away from the wall surface to add spatiality.
The entire exhibition fits the general design idea of a landscape, forest and bodies of water, and will not open up for the visitors immediately after they have entered the room. The movable exhibits enable a playful approach in learning about the subjects of the exhibition.
